When you think about your salvation, how many people do you think prayed for you? When you think about the lost students on your campus, how many people do you think are currently praying for them?
There is a lost generation of students, your peers, who need Jesus. But who will pray for them? Who will stand in the gap? You may be one of very few people that would even think to pray for them. You may be one of very few Christians that have gone overseas to share the love of Christ with another student. You may have been one of the few true followers of Jesus that someone has ever met on a boardwalk or national park here in the States.
Try this: Just take an index card and put it in your Bible. Write down the names of people you’d like to pray for - friends, people you met on Summer Project, classmates, whom ever God puts on your heart. If you’d like, add a few specific prayer requests from your campus’ partnership countries. It will be right there when you open the Word to remind you to pray!
Some prayers that would fit any situation:
The beauty of God developing our kingdom vision and ultimately our kingdom call is in the fact that His heart is to bring people from every tongue, tribe and nation to Himself. In His wisdom He calls us to different professions and different cities so the Gospel can radically change the lives of the people in that place.

The greatest crisis we ever face is the surrender of our will. Yet God never forces a person’s will into surrender, and he never begs. he patiently waits until that person willingly yields to Him.
Surrender is a word that excites and terrifies us at the same time. It means that we are willing to practice the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and submit to His will. It also means that we may not know what the result of yielding our lives, our futures and our dreams to Him may be.
